Schley 68800A GM Pitman Arm Popper
The Schley 68800 design attaches to the steering box and pitman arm without removing the box from the truck or SUV.
Accessing pitman arms on 1988 to 2000 GM C and K series trucks and SUVs is difficult when using standard jaw pullers. Accessories, steering linkage and other items restrict access to the arm.
The 68800A quickly and easily removes the pitman arm from most steering gearboxes equipped with a worm and sector shaft design. It performs this operation without compromising the steering box position or requiring the removal of the entire steering gear assembly in order to remove the pitman arm.
The 68800A is engineered to work on vehicles with steering boxes having a maximum dimension on the sector shaft of 1.5″ and a pitman arm that is no larger than 2.6″ wide.
- Unique design increases leverage “popping” the arm off of the shaft with less effort and torque.
- Puller can be used on other manufacturer-designed gear boxes with similar configurations.
- Made of forged chromoly steel for durability and long life.
- Reduces component removal times, increasing job profitability.
